Is there a safe percentage of petrol or diesel I can drive on?
Do not rely on a generic percentage. Vehicle fuel systems, amounts and whether the engine has run differ. Keep the ignition off and discuss the actual incident with us.
Will a fuel drain fix existing engine damage?
A drain addresses the contamination work agreed with you. It does not reverse every possible component fault. The technician explains any further assessment or repair needed.
Can a fleet manager book for the driver?
Yes, call with the vehicle location and details. Make sure we can obtain the driver’s account of what happened and know who can authorise the quotation.
Where can I read about prices?

What should I do immediately after misfuelling?
Stop filling, leave the ignition off and let forecourt staff know. Don’t add more fuel to dilute it. Call us with your location and vehicle details.
How much will it cost?
Fuel drains start from £135. The full quote depends on the vehicle, contamination, amount of fuel and whether the engine has run. AdBlue work is quoted separately. The quote is confirmed after vehicle assessment.
What if the engine has already been started?
Stop safely, switch off and don’t restart. Running on contaminated fuel can make the job more involved, but it does not automatically mean permanent damage. Call and tell us how far the vehicle travelled.
Do I have to take the vehicle to a garage?
A straightforward job can often be completed where the vehicle is safely parked. If the assessment shows damage or further work is needed, we explain the options.
How quickly can you arrive?
We confirm an arrival estimate when you call. Your location, technician availability, access and traffic all affect the time.
Can you deal with AdBlue in a fuel tank?
Call and tell us clearly that AdBlue went into the fuel tank. It requires a specialist assessment and is quoted separately from the standard fuel-drain starting price.
What areas do you cover?
We take fuel drain enquiries throughout North, South and East Ayrshire. Call with your postcode for availability. Rural and island visits require confirmation.
Do you work overnight and at weekends?
Our emergency service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call to confirm technician availability for your location.
What details should I have ready?
Your precise location, vehicle make and model or registration, its normal fuel, what you added, roughly how much and whether the engine ran.
Will I get a written report?
We provide a job report for your records. Keep it alongside the fuel receipt if you need to discuss the incident with an insurer, hire company or fleet manager.
