How much does a fuel drain cost?
Fuel drains from £135. A starting price is not a quotation for every vehicle or contamination. The quote is based on the vehicle assessment and the work required. AdBlue contamination and other specialist work are quoted separately.
What changes the quotation?
The technician needs to know the vehicle and tank layout, what entered the tank, the approximate amount and whether the ignition or engine was used. A vehicle that has run on contaminated fuel can need more assessment and flushing than one that remained switched off. Access to the vehicle and specialist arrangements also need to be discussed.

Call with your vehicle details and explain what happened at the pump. We assess the vehicle on arrival and explain the proposed work and quote. The appropriate procedure depends on the contamination and whether the engine has run, so the quotation is based on your actual vehicle.
Why is AdBlue quoted separately?
AdBlue in a fuel tank is different from petrol and diesel being mixed. It may require specialist decontamination and further checks. Fuel or another liquid in the AdBlue reservoir affects a separate system. Tell us which filler was used so the quotation discussion starts with the right problem.
What if further work is identified?
A mobile drain addresses the contamination work agreed with you. It does not guarantee that a vehicle driven on the wrong fuel has no component damage or another fault. If the assessment identifies further work or the need for a garage, we explain the options. Ask for clarification before authorising anything you do not understand.
Information to have ready for a quote
Call with the registration or make and model, normal fuel, liquid added, approximate quantity and whether the vehicle was started or driven. Provide the postcode and exact parking location. If it is a hire or company vehicle, identify who can authorise the work. Keep the receipt and written job record for later discussions with the vehicle owner or insurer.

Is £135 the total price for every fuel drain?
No. It is the standard starting price. The actual quotation depends on the vehicle, contamination, quantity and whether the engine has run.
Is AdBlue removal the same price?
AdBlue contamination is separately assessed and quoted because it differs from a standard petrol-and-diesel misfuel.
When will I know the full price?
The proposed work and quote are explained after assessing the vehicle. Ask any questions about the quotation before agreeing to proceed.
Can you give a final price without seeing the vehicle?
We can discuss the incident by phone, but the technician assesses the vehicle on arrival and confirms the quote.
Will I get a record of the work?
Yes, we provide a written job report. Keep it with your receipt for your own records or to discuss the incident with the vehicle owner.
What should a company driver do about approval?
Identify the person authorised to approve the quote before work starts. Have the registration, exact location and account of what went into the tank ready.
